Industrial Noise Impact Assessments

Project Value: £10m+

Project Brief: In 2023, bedding manufacturer John Cotton Group made an outline planning application to redevelop a vacant site near their existing HQ, based in West Yorkshire. The proposal includes a 300,000 sq ft warehouse that will be used for storage.

To ensure compliance with the Local Planning Policy, we were approached to provide a noise impact assessment in accordance with BS4142:2014+2019.

We began by establishing sound levels at several nearby locations which could be impacted by a variety of noise sources highlighted during our initial analysis.

This resulted in the formation of a detailed report, setting out how noise emissions could be managed and minimised.
