MuteClip® MP
Compliance: Compliant with both Part E Building Regulations (England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland) and Building Standards Technical Handbook 2017 for Scotland for airborne and impact transmission.
Thickness: This will alter depending on how you are installing it.
Installation: Only one fixing per MuteClip® required, find additional installation information below.
Where: Wall and ceiling installation to separate building elements such as stud frames from the wall. It is also ideal for suspended ceilings, making it compatible with Metal Frame (MF) ceilings. A significant improvement over standard resilient bars in both performance and fitting.

MuteClip® MP for Part E Building Regulations Compliance
Achieving good levels of Sound Insulation to ensure you pass your sound test and achieve Part E compliance can seem a daunting task. We have put together a myriad of commonly used soundproofing wall and soundproofing floor solutions, with the simple aim of achieving passing your Part E sound test. We have selected a range of products which we have tested frequently and are confident in their onsite performance. So look no further your sound testing, acoustic design and product supplier is looking right at you.
MuteClip® MP (Multi-Profile) is an acoustic sound isolation clip which is unique in its design with its dual-density rubber polymers that are carefully designed and assembled to improve noise reduction over a broad range of frequencies while remaining stable and consistent with every MuteClip® MP.
The right angle profile allows you to install MuteClip® MP in a variety of ways to help isolate a range of building elements while maintaining the same performance as the standard MuteClip®. With these properties working in tandem, you will achieve excellent soundproofing against impact and airborne noise in a whole host of applications, all completed with swiftness and efficiency at an affordable price.
With only a single fixing required per clip, the system minimises the points of contact with the partition and creates an easy to install soundproofing solution with little to no error due to the design. With these properties working in tandem, you will achieve excellent soundproofing against impact and airborne noise in a whole host of applications, all completed with swiftness and efficiency at an affordable price.

- Dramatically reduces airborne and impact noise as a high performing, slimline acoustic system.
- Can be used on metal, wooden, brick and concrete structures.
- Reduced points of contact to help de-couple ceiling and wall systems.
- A significant improvement over standard resilient bars in both performance and fitting.
- Compliant with both Part E Building Regulations (England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland) and Building Standards Technical Handbook 2017 for Scotland for impact transmission.
MuteClip® is part of the MuteRange – these are products that are subjected to stringent testing in both laboratory and real-world environments providing the best possible solution for the purpose with a result you can trust.
How to soundproof walls and ceilings
A combination of the following will always result in the best acoustic performance possible:
Mass: the addition of more substantial materials to reduce sound energy, for example, added layers of acoustic barrier combined with soundproof plasterboard.
Separation: breaking contact with the surface or surfaces through the use of acoustic isolation clips or stud framing.
Damping: the reduction of vibration through the use of flexible, damping materials such as Tecsound.
MuteClip® is the principal component of all MuteClip® Systems and is what provides separation by decoupling from a vast range of surfaces and frameworks. By breaking contact with surfaces and creating an air gap, each MuteClip® system gives a significant improvement over directly fitted systems, for example, fitting Acoustic Plasterboard to the surface.
We understand that it is not always possible to incorporate significant losses of space with say, the introduction of a stud frame, so we provide many options that can be applied directly to partitions, to help suit your desired performance, cost and thickness.
