This typically occurs when an interior space contains a high number of reflective surfaces such as solid walls, glass and tiles which causes excessive reverberation of sound.

Our team of expert acoustic consultants was approached by the owners of the Treehouse Cafe in Sheffield to address this issue. We carried out reverberation testing in the various different spaces within the cafe. We then provided detailed acoustic design to show the effect of installing acoustic panels in various forms. They subsequently installed a selection of Class A acoustic ceiling rafts and wall panels that soak up unwanted sound which results in a more comfortable and less distracting environment for customers and staff.
