TREATMENT

Skylark Class A panels

DELIVERY

Phased around teaching
White rafts and blue wall panels form one coordinated treatment.
Ceiling rafts positioned between the existing lighting.
Wall and ceiling absorption working together.
On-site testing informed each room design.

Measured first. Designed for each room.

Teachers and pupils were experiencing noisy classroom conditions and poor speech intelligibility. The combination of high ceilings and reflective finishes allowed sound to build up, making communication more difficult during lessons.

Our consultants completed on site reverberation testing and assessed the requirements of the individual teaching spaces. The results informed the quantity and placement of wall panels and suspended ceiling rafts in each classroom.

Installation was delivered in phases around the needs of the operational school, creating a consistent acoustic standard across more than 30 rooms.

Colour coordinated: Wall panels sit naturally within the teaching space.
Designed around the room: Rafts work neatly with lighting and services.
Consistent coverage: Each layout responds to the room geometry.
Evidence-led: Measurements established the right treatment level.

01

Test

Measure reverberation and understand how each classroom is used.

02

Design

Calculate the treatment required and plan a coordinated wall-and-ceiling layout.

03

Install

Phase the work around the live school and leave every room ready for teaching.

The Result

The completed treatment controls reflected sound so teachers can be heard more clearly and classrooms feel calmer and more acoustically balanced. The coordinated white ceiling rafts and blue wall panels also sit naturally within the teaching environment.
