MuteMat® OSF 750-03 for Part E Building Regulations Compliance
Achieving good levels of Sound Insulation to ensure you pass your sound test and achieve Part E compliance can seem a daunting task. We have put together a myriad of commonly used soundproofing wall and soundproofing floor solutions, with the simple aim of achieving passing your Part E sound test. We have selected a range of products which we have tested frequently and are confident in their onsite performance. So look no further your sound testing, acoustic design and product supplier is looking right at you.
MuteMat® OSF 750-03 is the highly effective and slimmest resilient layer available for managing the reduction of impact noise in over screed concrete constructions. Its recycled rubber-mix content is refined from over 14 tires for each roll, helping to reduce the impact on the planets ever-growing carbon footprint. It’s density, resulting in minimal compression is a key component to providing a robust flooring even when it is subjected to high loads, giving you a long lasting and effective solution that can receive a wide range of floor finishes, with no requirement for an overlay, this includes delicate flooring finishes such as ceramic tiling. If you are seeking soundproofing materials for Timber constructions or looking to achieve even greater impact reduction, we would recommend our MuteMat® 2 or MuteMat® 3 for reduction of both airborne and impact noises.

FAQs
When sound proofing timber sub-floors (this is a ply or MDF layer fixed to the joists) a compressible sound insulation material would is best used for the reduction of impact noise, MuteMat® OSF 750-03 would not offer soundproofing against footsteps, moving of furniture or household goods including washing machines and dishwashers in timber constructions because of its density – it’s properties make it perfect for use in concrete structures.
Take a look at MuteMat® 2 or MuteMat® 3 for floor soundproofing in timber structures.
